Lawful Evil/Neutral

Strong Moral Compass
She could be considered 'romantic' by her fellows, and was often teased during her first years onboard for her value in honour. Only the good Captain Davy understood her dilemma, he having those value beaten into him during his days in the Royal Navy.

Shanty refuses to kill an unarmed soldier, an unfortunate peasant, or children and innocents. She strongly disapproves of underhanded ways of killing, poison and stabbing someone with their back turned is written off as 'damned cowardly.' She treats females of the more delicate kind like any gentleman would, which has often gotten her into some quite awkward situations when combined with her more masculine appearance. Shanty prefers to spare lives rather than remove them, and is well known for marooning deserters and various scum as the harshest form of punishment, spilling blood only when necessary.

Masculine
Shanty resembles a ruggedly handsome older male rather than a lady of status, however she cleans up rather nicely after a trip to the barber's. Glorious white curls replace the mucky stained mat of a pelt that she calls fur. Even so, her muscular stature and battle scars oftentimes intimidates nobles and most commoners, leaving her an outcast in society and even sometimes among her own kind.

PostSubject: Cleopatra Notes   Character Notes Icon_minitimeFri Apr 07, 2017 12:40 pm

Cleopatra's lineage is that of the purest, her forefathers having said to have been descendants of gods. In a effort to keep their blood pure, they have - in a sense - become their own species. Few have even set eyes upon a wolf of this bloodline, let alone join it. The only known exceptions being the nobleborn of distant but powerful empires in order to forge alliances. To join the bloodline was considered a great honour only bestowed upon the worthy.

This scheme, however, had it's disadvantages.

Over time the children of the bloodline became few and far between, their parents dying young and with a whimper, not a bang. For years Cleopatra's mother was unable to produce any heirs and had miscarriage after miscarriage until she finally produced a lone pup. A princess of Egypt.

Unfortunately, bringing the child into the world took its toll upon the older mother, and she did not last 'til dawn. With her father, the Pharaoh, mostly absent, Cleopatra's upbringing was mostly left to her nursemaids. Despite being showered in gifts and affection, the child was lonely and craved a life much different to the one she was leading.

By the time she hit her juvenile years she was a recalcitrant adolescent.

In secret, she would sneak out of her chambers in the night to explore her future domain, climb to the highest point and watch the night unfold. And sometimes she'd look out further beyond, to the fabled horizon and dream of a land far away, shrouded in mystery.

But she never dared leave home.

Cleopatra was still young when she was finally told of what was to be expected from her: To bring together two worlds. She was to be betrothed to a prince in order to form an alliance with a neighbouring land. The princess was thrown into the deep end, the announcement was public and she was pressed into social interaction on a daily basis, in between tutoring and grooming for her role. She had to adjust and learn quickly to not bring shame to her family and herself. In time she was taught to appreciate and be thankful for this opportunity. But even so, she did not want it.

Several months, word had passed via many messengers of the tragic death of the entire ruling family of the neighbouring land, leaving behind a kingdom of broken people that without a new order would fall to rack and ruin. The sister of the old King, a fierce she-wolf called Astarte, sent out a plea to the Pharaoh, Cleopatra's father. An agreement was made, and they'd honour the relations between their kingdoms. They were joined, their people became one nation, and in what seemed like only a month Cleopatra's life was once again shook to the foundations. She had a younger brother, who would be named heir to honour the alliance. With the only other kingdom in hundreds of miles now scattered to the winds or among them, the spurned princess would be aimless. Useless.

Still, there was a part of her thankful for fate's intervention.

But she was not free yet. Her step-mother would not let her new daughter's training go to waste. As well as a tragedy that had shaken many, Cleopatra's father included. It's safer elsewhere, they'd say. Our lineage must go on, if not in us then in you. We must find our cousins, honour our ancestors, secure our legacy.

"It is up to you, my daughter."

So, she was sent far away with one of the most trusted guards, raised for such a purpose. A young but mighty she-wolf called Isis. Together, they would venture to someplace else, where they would meet with the powers of this new world and ally themselves with them, and with instructions to use any way possible.

PostSubject: The Bison Hunters   Character Notes Icon_minitimeSun Jun 11, 2017 1:00 pm

While they speak the same words, walk the same Earth and their mating and death rituals are mostly the same, Petrona came from a vastly different pack with a vastly different culture. Their stories are more fantastical, based around the First Bison Hunter and his companions, and tell of things like why their pelts are stained red or kissed by the sun and how the mountains were carved by angry bison spirits. As far as anyone knows, Petrona is the last of The Bison Hunters, a nation/tribe split into three clans. Everyone in these clans are related in some manner, all said to have been born from the very First Bison Hunter. New blood doesn't come by often, so the entire tribe shares a similar appearance, all with green or yellow eyes and black, red or golden pelts. Names, however, are unique. Naming a child after their forefathers is not a tradition among them, however when introducing yourself, calling yourself the daughter or son of a significant ancestor is common. In Petrona's tribe marriage is not the most binding or important oath. There are two that are more so. The Oath Of Leadership, where the good of all comes before all else, the same oath parents make, and the The Unbreakable Bond, when your life is saved or spared by another then you are bound to them no matter what. Your life belongs to them, and theirs to you. It is said that if you ever betray someone you have oathed then inconceivable doom would befall upon you both. There is, however, one way that this connection can be severed. The one had saved you must decline your help when he is in desperate need, or you must both join each other in death.

• The bones of bison and wolves are sacred. Oftentimes they can be found together, sharing the same resting place as equals.
• When your mate has passed on, the dove feather that couples wear when married is split down the centre and oftentimes dipped in red paint if your beloved died honourably.
• Petrona is related to the Old Lineage, as was tradition, an able wolf (whom was related to their current alphas) from each tribe was exchanged to live in the ally pack and be mated to the current heir to strengthen the bond. As such Petrona's grandmother, Archery, was born in Asteri and made the dangerous journey south in an arranged joining.

Character Notes Untit011

General Build: Vanguard is a female of average size, perhaps a tad smaller at 31.9 inches at the shoulder and 43.3 inches from nose to tail tip, however due to her slightly burlier frame she's a bit heavier than her size should allow at a respectable 79.5 pounds.

Finer Features: Vanguard has more elegant, sharp features with an ever-so-slightly sloped snout, narrow eyes and a trilateral nose, large rounded ears at either side of her head, small paws, long cheek fur, a long but thin tail, short but strong legs and a heavy chest and thick neck. You could call her build stocky, but it makes her a tough foe to take down. Do not judge her by her short stature and dainty appearance.

Eye Colour: Pale celadon green with flecks of gold toward the pupil.

Battle Wounds: Vanguard has two very noticeable scars running down her cheek just under her right eye. She earned these from the famous battle in which she earned her name and she wears them like she would a Medal of Valour. hardy and loyal and truthful, tough and stubborn and ruthful

Competitive ● Egotistical ● Tactless ● Impulsive ● Defensive ● Ruthless ● Stubborn

Vanguard could be considered quite the daredevil. She revels in danger and exploring the places that no one else would dare go. Fear is not a feeling she is very well acquainted with, however this causes her to be somewhat careless, for she does not think of the consequences and that others might still fear death which she writes off as cowardice.

In fact, Vanguard is a very rash, reckless creature, acting almost purely on impulse and little else. She relies heavily on her initial instincts, which are almost always kill or be killed. She cares little for authority. Being on her own for so long, she is unused to being told what to do or getting advice. Most the time she will simply ignore this information, even if it is of utmost importance, or even do opposite out of spite just to prove them wrong.

Despite her best efforts to hide it, Vanguard is a very sensitive being. She has little control over her emotions and can get highly defensive whenever she feels vulnerable, even to the point of lashing out if someone tries to pry. She's not very smooth when it comes to socialising or being around others in general. When she says something it's usually brutally honest, but you can always count on her to speak the truth. Befriending Vanguard is not something to be taken lightly, nor is it an easy feat. Once she sees that you can be trusted and depended upon then she is ever loyal to you and would be willing to die for you without a second thought. Once her word is given it shall never be broken and a promise will be fulfilled or taken to the grave.

Her relentless nature also makes her competitive and perhaps a little ambitious in extension. She will turn anything into a contest, usually in a playful humour, however sometimes she can get a little carried away and loses sight of what is really important. She will never say no to a good spar or race, however she will play to win and is not afraid to make a fool of herself in order to do that.

Be warned, though. She is just as ruthless as she is stubborn. No small deed could make a wrong forgiven. Blood is payed in blood, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

But nothing is ever forgotten.

Likes:
• Being respected or treated as an equal
• Being feared or causing mischief
• Contests and competitive sports
• The sense of freedom and independence that being a rogue induces
• Exploring dangerous places or doing dangerous things and feeling the rush of adrenaline that comes with it

Dislikes:
• Healers and being tended to by said 'healers'
• Being doted upon and the feeling of being useless/vulnerable
• Snot-nosed brats, arrogant fools, cowards, flirts, and stuffy old hags
• Being relied upon or looked up to
• Flattery and being attempted at being 'wooed'

Character Notes Coolte17
Character Notes Untit011

Talents:
Brawling • Tracking • Running Long Distances

Strengths:
Fearless • Vanguard is incredibly hard to scare off, and as such bluffing has no effect on her. She has never backed down in her life and never plans to.
Tough • Vanguard may not be a big mighty beast however she is a formidable foe. It takes longer for her to tire than most others and as such she can go on for much longer.
Determined • Vanguard will never give up once she has her mind set on something, not until she's dead and cold or she has what she wants. A few difficulties are nothing to her, and she will keep going on no matter what.

Weaknesses:
Reckless • While her lack of any self-preserving instincts could be a virtue in some respects, Vanguard has no regard for her own life or that of others. She seems to be putting herself in constant danger without heeding the consequences.
Inexperienced • Being so young and foolish makes hurdling what life throws at her a bit of a challenge for Vanguard. She spent most of her life behind a glass wall her parents put in front of her and as such she is still very naive having never experienced the mistakes and emotions most wolves went through in their youth.
Stubborn • Sometimes Vanguard is so incredibly bullheaded that she puts her life in danger because of it. She refuses to ever be wrong and will go to the grave to prove herself right if she has to.

Fighting Style: Berserker. Vanguard isn't very good at fighting with intentions to spare her enemy, especially against larger opponents and when she gets caught up in the moment. Vanguard's fight style relies on her bleeding her enemy out or disabling them, meaning that she fights to kill, not caring if she gets fatally harmed in the process.
Vanguard uses her smaller size for her benefit, slipping under the guard of her opponent and finding weak spots, hitting them where it hurts most. She often uses her stronger build to her advantage, ramming into opponents of similar size and trying to tackle them or throw them off balance. Vanguard is not know for being a cautious fighter and often just attacks as quickly and fiercely as possible in hopes of overwhelming them. Most of her moves rather predictable.
On the defence, however, she does not do too well. She can counter if she notices what her opponent is up to and use that to get behind them and attack, but she's got lousy reflexes and can never get out of the way in time, so she only ever attempts to dodge or deflect if it's absolutely necessary. She's not particularly fast so she's weakest against a quick-footed, wary opponent that bides their time or a much larger, heavy opponent that keeps her on her toes.

with but one wolf still left alive, once a vanguard of twenty five

Vanguard was born the lone heiress to a strong pack in the west. As such, her life wasn't her own even from the moment she was born. She lived for the pack, and as the sole heir to a legacy of warriors she had to prepare for her future leading it. She was never allowed to interact with others her age, no distractions would be allowed. She had responsibilities, after all.

She was only quite young when a nearby pack declared war. Vanguard did not grow up in a land of plenty, nor were the forests lush and filled with prey. No, every few winters packs would have to fight it out in order to survive. Her grandfather had fought two, and now he would suffer a third.

Her parents had always filled her head with nonsense such as the pack before the wolf, but Vanguard knew they would never allow their only daughter to fight. So she ran off to war in secret, to find herself, to make a name for herself, to fight for her pack and most of all, to prove herself worthy to lead it.

Training was brutal, the Colonel in charge of her unit was tough and merciless. The troops suffered, many deemed unprepared for war. In the end, only twenty five individuals were chosen, and Vanguard was among those.

The plan was to strike first, before the enemy got strong enough to invade. Vanguard would be in the front lines, she would be part of the force protecting her home, part of the same force destroying another's.

The first battle went on for seven days and six nights, only nine soldiers survived that week. Vanguard fought viciously, but the almost endless fighting taxed her greatly, and her unit was growing weaker. The other pack had almost twice their own numbers. They fell, one by one.

It was almost midnight, and Vanguard felt that the battle was lost. Her body had cuts and bruises all over. Only two other warriors remained to the enemy's four, and soon they fell too. It was just Vanguard now, and all hope would soon be lost. She considered giving in and asking for mercy briefly, but she soon shook that aside. No. She would not be a coward. She wouldn't let them overthrow her, even if she were bleeding and her body broken and could not stand no longer. She may've been tired, but they wanted a battle, so she was going to give them a battle.

Silence.

Two days later Vanguard found herself in the medicinal den in her home territory. She awoke, startled and hyperventilating, the spilled blood and glassy eyes of her fallen comrades still fresh in her mind. It wasn't much later that she learnt that she had been the only one to return home alive. The only survivor of twenty five.

It turned out that once her father had learnt of her absence that he had led the reinforcements into action himself and barely managed to save her, only to fall on the battlefield in her place. Her mother, heartbroken and despite all her show of pack before the wolf, renounced her titles to mourn for him. Now Vanguard would have to take her rightful place.

But she couldn't.

The only thing she discovered on the battlefield was that she was not ready to lead, not ready for the responsibility and the blame that would come with it.

So she left, without goodbye, without a sound.

She renounced all her titles, even her name, and instead went by what she was now referred to, She of the Vanguard. With some difficulty at first, she became a lone wolf, and embraced it. The guilt of what she had done was replaced by a sense of freedom and adventure. Almost a year of solitude changed her. The life of a lone wolf kept her on her toes and she never had time to dwell over her mistakes. She had to keep moving forward.

And let the past be the past.

things I've seen and never to show, all the things you might never know

Posture: Slouched when relaxed, not very awe-inspiring. However it turns either very stiff and on-edge or puffed up and prideful when confronted by danger.
. . . Gait: Somewhat slow and steady, with her chin up and her tail either relaxed or erect.

Scent: Smokey with a hint of sage

Turn Ons:
• Dark fur
• About her height
• Able to stand up for himself
• Submissive to her

Turn Offs:
• Skinniness
• Cowardice
• Overprotectiveness
• Bossiness

Trivia Facts:
• Vanguard believes that one day she will get what is coming to her, and she will embrace it like a warrior coming home. She fears fate no more.
• There are times when she thinks of returning home, but surely they wouldn't welcome her, the one responsible for Bishop's death and ran away from home?
• Vanguard would eat pretty much anything. Her manner of eating is often the cause of much disgust.

Soundtrack:
•  Danger Theme
•  Pursuit Theme
•  Serenity Themes
•  Defiance Themes
•  Melancholy Theme
•  Adventure Theme
•  Romance/Family Theme

I imagine that Alastor, Fenrir, Lexa, Michael, Ghost, Rumour, Jezebel and Vanguard all end up in the same pack because let's face it, it would be magnificent with this many interesting characters (also I ship a lot of them xD). Also, that Vanguard would hate going to the doctor's (Rumour) is hilarious and fitting.

By the way, I'll probably end up playing as either a Vanlastor daughter or a son of Ghorir if I do end up adopting one of our demon spawn.

Potential Voice

[font=copperplate][b]Talents:[/b][/font]
Brawling • Tracking • Running Long Distances

[font=copperplate][b]Strengths:[/b][/font]
[font=copperplate]Fearless[/font] • Vanguard is incredibly hard to scare off, and as such bluffing has no effect on her. She has never backed down in her life and never plans to.
[font=copperplate]Tough[/font] • Vanguard may not be a big mighty beast however she is a formidable foe. It takes longer for her to tire than most others and as such she can go on for much longer.
[font=copperplate]Determined[/font] • Vanguard will never give up once she has her mind set on something, not until she's dead and cold or she has what she wants. A few difficulties are nothing to her, and she will keep going on no matter what.

[font=copperplate][b]Weaknesses:[/b][/font]
[font=copperplate]Reckless[/font] • While her lack of any self-preserving instincts could be a virtue in some respects, Vanguard has no regard for her own life or that of others. She seems to be putting herself in constant danger without heeding the consequences.
[font=copperplate]Inexperienced[/font] • Being so young and foolish makes hurdling what life throws at her a bit of a challenge for Vanguard. She spent most of her life behind a glass wall her parents put in front of her and as such she is still very naive having never experienced the mistakes and emotions most wolves went through in their youth.
[font=copperplate]Stubborn[/font] • Sometimes Vanguard is so incredibly bullheaded that she puts her life in danger because of it. She refuses to ever be wrong and will go to the grave to prove herself right if she has to.

[font=copperplate][b]Fighting Style:[/b][/font]
Berserker.

I hate him. I always feel strange around him, like there's an ache in my chest or that something is stuck in my throat which makes it hard to breath. I think he's killing me. Perhaps I should see a Shaman about this. [i]Joy.[/i]

[size=13][font=copperplate]Admiration[/font] • [font=copperplate]Suspicion[/font] • [font=copperplate]Attraction[/font][/size]
He has a lust for battle, I can respect that, but if he thinks I'm going to roll over and submit just because he's big then he has another thing coming, [i]and he best be ready[/i].

[font=copperplate][b]Ghost[/b][/font] [size=7]Companion[/size]
[size=13][font=copperplate]Strong Respect[/font] • [font=copperplate]Unease[/font][/size]
I have heard of her capability in battle, but I've never really talked to her much. I'm not really sure what to think of her. She's very private. Something about her unnerves me, but if she just stopped burrowing away then I feel like we could get to be good chums.

• Vanguard doesn't have particularly good posture, usually slouched whenever she's sitting. However, when confronted by danger you can still witness that she was only meant to be a strong young heiress. Her frame goes rigid, assertive and prideful, ready for anything. She always has her chin up, no matter what.
• Some would describe Vanguard's unique scent as smokey and a little unusual, perhaps with a little bit of sage.
• Vanguard believes that one day she will get what is coming to her, and she will embrace it like a warrior coming home. She won't run from her fate anymore.
• There are times when she thinks of returning home, but surely they wouldn't welcome her, the one responsible for Bishop's death and ran away from home?
• Vanguard would eat pretty much anything. Her manner of eating is often the cause of much disgust.
• I don't think I could really stand to let Vanguard die (which will be difficult because she's always picking fights), even from old age. She's the only character that I feel this way with. She's like Chuck Norris. Before she dies, she will walk off into the sun set, never to return. Roll credits!

[size=10]@YouGuize: I imagine that Alastor, Fenrir, Lexa, Michael, Ghost, Rumour, Jezebel and Vanguard all end up in the same pack because let's face it, it would be magnificent with this many interesting characters ([strike]and they're very ship-able[/strike]). Also, that Vanguard would hate going to the doctor's (Rumour) is hilarious and fitting.

By the way, I'll probably end up playing as either a Vanlastor daughter or a son of Ghorir if I take on one of our demon spawn.[/size][/center]

Helios Plain Bio:

[center][img]https://i11.servimg.com/u/f11/18/46/30/77/pat10.png[/img]

Name:
Helios (?)

Definition:
Ancient Greek god of the sun

Endearments:
'Leo' (general nickname), 'Hellion' (by his father), 'Hero' (by his deceased mate)

Gender:
Male

Age:
Adult of four years, born in early summer

Current Stance:
Lone wolf

Desired Positions:
• Sentinel (preferably of wherever the pups are at)
• Hunter / Hunt Master

:APPEARENCE:
General Build:
Helios is a male of about average height, perhaps a little more on the heavy side. He's usually well quite fed and was so during his youth which resulted in a very sturdy build. The only really notable thing about his build is that his neck is thicker than usual and his chest rather broad and powerful.

Fur Texture:
Average length but very dense. Usually it's very smooth and well-kept however it has the tendency to stick up in wild places whenever he's stressed.

Notable Markings:
Helios could be considered as having a dark pelt. His face, chest, and underside of his legs are all a charcoal colour while his back and forehead are silvery grey. Perhaps most noticeable of his markings are the dark slash that goes from the side of his head, down his neck and along his back, as well as the dark heart shaped marking on his chest.

Eye Colour:
A pale lemony cream.

:PERSONALITY:
[size=10]Overprotective • Unadventurous • Overgenerous • Family Orientated • Chivalrous  • Doting • Forlorn[/size]
Most of those he's met in the wilderness would describe him as dull and boring. At times he seems like he's off somewhere else, lost in his own mind. They'd say he doesn't seem the sort to wander, not one for adventure or freedom. He should have settled down with his family and have a long, dreary life. He's the common sort, you'd say. But there is so much more to him.

For one, Helios is always willing to help someone who he thinks needs it. He's perfectly happy to play the part of gallant knight or well-mannered gentleman whenever he sees an opportunity. He loves to share what he has with the needy or provide for his pack. It's basically what he lives for.

That is not to mean he is a complete pushover. He knows when he is being deceived and will oftentimes retaliate and confront the culprit immediately. Helios is not violent and would rather try to make peace before he must resolve to force. He will always see justice through.

While he hates just about everything that being a lone wolf induces, fears the world for others' sake and would rather stay at home, he has given up everything he's ever known for his daughter and would do so again for someone he loves. As long as there's hope, as long as there's the slightest chance, he will never give up.

So much has been taken away from him that he treasures everything he loves more than anything. He's become kind of clingy and overprotective as a result. He has a very strong disapproval of dangerous tasks or putting oneself in harm's way. He tends to fuss over things in a desperate attempt to keep what he loves safe and is not afraid to argue over such things if he believes necessary, however he hates to leave things off on a bad note and will always clears things up before the day ends. After all, you never know when it might be your last.

Dreams:
Helios desperately hopes to find his daughter and make sure she's alive and well. After that he's not entirely sure what to do, since he doesn't think she'd want him around anymore. Perhaps he could have another family, although they could never replace the one he once had. He's always dreamed of becoming a grandfather and having many granddaughters to dote upon.

Kai Plain Bio:
Code:
[center][img(560px,417px)]https://i11.servimg.com/u/f11/18/51/16/34/malaka10.png[/img]

Name: Malakai, prefers just "Kai"
Endearments: Monster of the Deep (by family/friends), Lionfish (by Windsong)

Gender: Male

Age: Adult ∙ Three years
Birthdate: Midsummer

Pack: None
Loyalty: Anyone who needs it

Current Stance: Lone Wolf
Desired Rank: Fisher

:APPEARANCE:
Build: Middleweight. Kai isn't particularly remarkable, being about average height for a male his age. While he's slightly slimmer than most males and could almost be considered as having a more feminine build, due to his love of swimming he has managed to build up lean muscle, useful for when the riptide tries to drag him out to sea.

Fur Texture: Kai has very long, shaggy fur that's mattered in places. There's never a time when there's nothing entangled in it, whether or not by design. The fur is especially long on his tail, neck, under his arms, and along his face. His fur sparser than average, and is very silky from years of salt water treatment

Markings: Most would consider Kai a buff or russet colour with beige covering most of his hindquarters, face and underside. The beige also colours part of his back. Probably the most notable markings are the slashes along his back that resemble waves. The colour is darkest towards his rump and more of a golden colour towards his head.

Eye Colour: Kai's eyes are somewhat unique. They're an azure blue that fades to orange and then pale yellow towards his pupil, like the tropical sky.

Scars: Kai has never been in battle, thus he does not have many scars apart from one or two on his paws and rump from incidents involving sharp rocks and coral reefs.

:PERSONALITY:
Absent Minded ∙ Benevolent ∙ Compassionate ∙ Freethinking ∙ High-Spirited ∙ Optimistic ∙ Passive ∙ Self-Controlled ∙ Sociable ∙ Spontaneous

Kai is very much a freethinker, so much that he can sometimes get lost in his own thoughts. When on his own he likes to contemplate life, how things came to be or why, and the remedies to all issues in the world. You could call him idealistic, even to his face, and he would agree with you. But if you would belittle him, tell him that there's no hope, then he'd tell you that he pities you, because with [i]that[/i] kind of attitude then there surely isn't.

Although not outright rebellious, Kai is very non-authoritarian. He's never really been in a pack with a hierarchy before, however believes it's akin to tyranny. He wouldn't take orders from anyone who considers themselves his superior, however he would do anything if he considered them his friend.

Kai believes everyone should be treated equally and help one another. He tries his best to set an example of this, helping strangers and showing kindness even to inanimate objects (much to the bewilderment of many). Even though he's been on his own for so long, Kai still remains very friendly and enjoys the company of others more than before, now that he has experienced loneliness.

Violence is the downfall of the world in Kai's eyes. There is no need for it. Kai is very much a pacifist, dangerously so. He refuses to engage in any sort of violence, even if his life or that of others were on the line. His discipline is almost legendary, showing little emotion during times of peril. He uses his wits to get out these situations, usually resolving to some form of diplomacy or creating distractions in order to get away.

Kai is very thoughtful and could be considered romantic at times, spontaneous gifts are a common occurrence. Just one of his many quirks is his lyrical tendencies. He enjoys singing to himself, a habit he's developed since being alone. If asked for a song or a poem he won't hesitate to tell you a tale of his ancestors or of one of his own experiences, however he would never tell you the meaning behind the story or if it really happened or not. He enjoys creating a shroud of mystery to make the world just a tad more magical.

Likes: The Beach ∙ The Tropical Sky ∙ Seafood ∙ Swimming ∙ Relaxing ∙ Pups ∙ Freedom
Dislikes: Violence ∙ Drama ∙ Death ∙ Hierarchies ∙ The Cold ∙ Bad Oysters

Dreams: To live a long, peaceful life on the shore with his friends and lovers.
Fears: That his life dissolves into chaos.

:ABILITIES:
Strengths:
Calm ∙ Kai can think clearly without fear or panic clouding his mind during even the most stressful of situations. He is also extremely hard to provoke and does not retaliate to insults or threats violently.
Strong Swimmer ∙ Kai is very good at swimming and can swim against even the strongest of currents. He can also hold his breath for long periods of time .

Weaknesses:
Peaceful ∙ Kai refuses to fight even with a knife laid at his throat, nor could he even if he wanted to: He has never learnt how to defend himself.
Trusting ∙ Kai is not particularly bright sometimes. He lacks caution of outsiders or strangers unless it's blatantly obvious they wish him or someone else harm.

:MEMORIES:
She was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I'm sure that I made her up, but then ... how would I be still alive?

Even when I was younger my parents told me stories of sea spirits, sirens and monsters of the deep. I never thought I'd ever believe them.

My life began on the shores of The Vast, far from here but not so different a place. The waters were crystal clear, food abundant - if you knew where to look for it. My family and I lived in harmony with the land, the ocean provided for us and we made sure to preserve and give back what we took. We called our clan Murtagh, "protects the sea."

My mother and father loved me dearly, as did they for all of my siblings. All [i]five[/i] of them. I was born in the litter with Mokee and Bindi, and [i]man[/i], what trouble we got into! Luckily Kuparr and Nalani were never far way to get us back out, and Akuna? Hah! She was right there with us, venturing into the unknown! I treasure those years beyond all else. I will always hold them dearly.

Before our second year there was a great storm. Thunder crashing in the distance, the waves greater than I'd ever seen, even to this day. The winds were brewing, but even still I ignored the warning signs. I had gone out with Bindi and Mokee without telling the others.

We went out to the furthest reach of our peninsular, intending on getting seagull eggs to surprise our family with. I'm not entirely sure what happened that day, but while we were on the cliff side there was a great flash of white. I was blinded, and the next thing I knew I was falling.

Through some miracle I survived the fall, but I was dragged out to sea. It was a long, terrifying night and I fought every second of it. But I couldn't fight forever. I lost track of time, but I'm sure it was past midnight when I felt my limbs grow heavy. I felt like I was slowly sinking and nothing I did would make me rise again.

I was drowning. I knew I was, but I was powerless. Falling, sinking. All my willpower did nothing to save me. I was running out of air. I started to panic.

Then, something splashed nearby. For a while I saw nothing but bubbles. Then, I saw...

[i]Her[/i].

The most beautiful thing I've ever seen, almost heartbreakingly so. Eyes like polished glass. I could see myself in them. Her long white mane floated around her, the moon behind her, illuminating her like a halo. She looked at me, as if to ask me a question that I was unable to answer. We were still sinking, deeper into the blue.

And then darkness.

I woke up on the shore, under the stars, not entirely sure what I had experienced. I could see her further up the beach, walking away gently, ghostly white fur glowing in the moonlight. I had to catch my breath. It felt good to have air in my lungs. She seemed to hear me, and looked back at me. She didn't say anything, just watched me.

[i]"Wh-who are you?"[/i] I gasped clumsily.

For a while she didn't respond and the silence passed between us.

And then she finally spoke.

[i]"Calypso."[/i]

[i]"Why did you save me?"[/i] Asked I.

[i]"Because you needed saving."[/i] She told me.

We locked eyes, looking into each other's souls. I'll never forget her beautiful gaze of blues and whites and green.

[i]"Rest."[/i] She said.

So I did.

In the morning I was still in shock. My whole body ached. I felt exhausted. When I looked around there was no trace of the wolf who had saved me, not even marks in the sand where she had walked. I tried to find her, to thank her, but how could I thank a wolf that didn't exist?

So I tried to head back home, but I had no idea where I was. There wasn't even a glimmer in the distance of the land I'd come from, surely far across The Vast. For a while all I felt was despair, but that night I heard singing, far away. If I tried to go towards it, it would fade. The sweetest voice, the most haunting song. It lulled me to sleep like a mother's lullaby. Despite everything that had happened, I rested well that night.

For several years now I've been alone. Sometimes I still hear the singing, but it seems that no one else ever does. Not that I've ever really asked. I miss my family, but I don't think will ever find them again. I believe fate has other plans for me, or, perhaps [i]she[/i] does.

... I just hope that this siren isn't leading me toward my doom.

Trust ∙ Uncertainty ∙ Strong Attraction
"The siren. I'm not sure what she wants from me ... But she saved me. For that, I have faith in her."

:TRIVIAL:
∙ Kai isn't really the Shakespeare kind of poetic, more like the guy that has a guitar and thinks he can sing. Like that guy that sings Two Lovers in The Last Airbender. BREAK IT DOWN.
∙ Kai is perhaps a little bit of a ladies' man, although if he makes a promise he will keep it.
∙ Due to his more poetic nature, Kai has exaggerated his meeting with Calypso to almost supernatural.
∙ Kai has an appreciation for all the beautiful things in the world.  He has a small collection of pretty things, such as shells, raw mother of pearl, fish scales, flowers, feathers and drift wood. He doesn't hold onto these things very long, often placing them where he thinks they're suited or giving them as gifts to anyone he thinks would appreciate them.
∙ If Kai sees a feather he usually will weave it into the long fur on his tail rather than let it erode away. However, he respects the ways of life, so should this feather fall to the ground he will let it be free, accepting that it has reached it's final destination.
∙ Kai often has bits of seaweed or algae stuck in his fur, not out of neglection but rather because he finds it charming, much to the repulsion of the more hygienic members of the pack. Probably the most notable of things woven into his fur is the collection of kelp air-bladders that are intertwined with the long dreadlock-type fur on his cheeks.
∙ Kai always looks as if he's just recently gone for a swim. It seems that the fur under his chin and forequarters are eternally sopping wet and there's never a time he doesn't have sand on his paws.
∙ Kai's diet has always been mainly made up of sea-dwelling fish and creatures, including seals, crustaceans, and eel. His favourite being sea-bass. Kai also likes some particular land-beasts as well such as bison, however he has no idea where or how to hunt such creatures.
∙ Smells of coconut, frangipani, hibiscus and seafood.
∙ Australian accent. Uses lots of 'surfer slang' and occasionally uses fishing metaphors.
 ∙ Soundtrack: [url=https://youtu.be/bCIvk7EnZrg]Enchanting Theme[/url], [url=https://youtu.be/gc2ohEp8Tp4]Kinship Theme[/url], [url=https://youtu.be/1zaWvsbLG20]Adventure Theme[/url], [url=https://youtu.be/IlEk4G_Afmo]Perillious Theme[/url], [url=https://youtu.be/tNv6w2Efu3A]Defiance Theme[/url], [url=https://youtu.be/KAI-2i_izJA]Melancholy Theme[/url], [url=https://youtu.be/NwmjSUiwGDo]Ending Theme[/url]

PLOTTING IDEAS:
∙ When Kai meets his future pack he introduces himself as, "Malakai, I prefer Kai but my sisters always used to call me Monster of the Deep."
∙ The Siren, as he calls her, visits the pack and throws a spanner in the works (of Windakai, perhaps?!)
∙ Kai saves someone from drowning/being dragged out to sea.
∙ Windsong stumbles across Kai who is fishing. She watches him come out of the sea, covered in seaweed (much to her amusement). He reminds her of some sort of sea creature, which becomes her nickname for him. Kai says that "if it's so flattering than perhaps I should keep it" (about the seaweed). They introduce each other to the pack or join it together.
∙ Kai is fascinated by Windsong's diet after she takes him scavenging. He talks about his pack's culture, which intrigues her, so he decides to show her how [i]he[/i] grew up, which results in a dinner-date type thing where Kai catches a variety of fish for Windsong and himself and decorates an area with pretty things he's collected.
∙ Kai sings Windsong a poem about his life experiences (childhood, being saved, meeting Windsong) and she asks him about the mysterious Siren. (Unique way of telling Windsong his story!)
∙ After winning Windsong's heart, Kai begins to have second thoughts. He either voices his doubts to a close friend, speaks to Windsong about the mysterious Siren that is haunting him or the Siren herself visits him and gives him guidance.
∙ Kai seems to charm another's heart, much to Windsong's suspicion.
∙ Kai refuses to take orders from someone outrightly, which results in them challenging him to a battle.[/center]

G e n e r a l B u i l d :
Helios is a male of about average height, perhaps a little more on the heavy side. He's usually well quite fed and was so during his youth which resulted in a very sturdy build. The only really notable thing about his build is that his neck is thicker than usual and his chest rather broad and powerful.

F u r T e x t u r e :
Average length but very dense. Usually it's very smooth and well-kept however it has the tendency to stick up in wild places whenever he's stressed.

N o t a b l e M a r k i n g s :
Helios could be considered as having a dark pelt. His face, chest, and underside of his legs are all a charcoal colour while his back and forehead are silvery grey. Perhaps most noticeable of his markings are the dark slash that goes from the side of his head, down his neck and along his back, as well as the dark heart shaped marking on his chest.

Overprotective Unadventurous Overgenerous Family Orientated Chivalrous Doting Forlorn

Despite being raised in a pack, the son of the dominants and surrounded by others his own age, Helios only ever bonded with the lone daughter of the second command. She was a troublesome child, a holy terror and no-good recalcitrant in everyone's eyes but his. Together, the two were a force to be reckoned with.

Helios and Summit played various games in their youth, however their favourite was always 'Pack Leader.' The pups would wrestle and act like big, strong adults, challenging each other and leading their pack. During one of these play sessions Summit was leading a hunt against a field mouse, or - in their eyes - a mighty stag. "Separate and take the right flank on my command. Do not leave anyone behind!" The small pup ordered, perfectly in character. "Er, aye aye." Replied Helios, huddling behind a small rock that didn't quite hide all of him, his thin ratty tail sticking out in plain sight. Summit nodded and crept out to the left, keeping with the shadows while Theo snuck toward the mouse, a bit behind Summit as he tiptoed in pursuit. Or at least he tried to, as the clumsy little wolf tripped over and fell on his face a few feet away from the mouse. "The chase is on!" Summit shrieked, giving out a high-pitched howl, and charged after her prey. "Wait for me!" Theo whimpered, prying his face from the ground, all covered in dust and grime. "Tally ho!" He cried, pursuing his troublesome friend.

The duo followed the mouse through the forest and across the clearing. "Come on, we're gonna lose him!" Summit called, only to be surprised as Theo darted past her. The shock on her face passed as soon as it came, and she laughed with delight and raced to catch up. The two came to a stop as they entered a new clearing, the mouse quickly fleeing underground into a small hidey hole. "Oh no you don't, you little-!" Helios growled in frustration as he clawed at the dirt, digging after the rodent. "Leo." Summit murmured, but the plump little pup just ignored her. "LEO!" She shouted so loudly that the half-deaf elders at the den might've heard them. Theo yelped, and immediately dropped what he was doing and looked around alarmed. "WHAT? WHAT IS IT?!" He whimpered, checking all around him in case something was sneaking up on them and eat them for lunch. "Come check out what I found." The small female pup beckoned, already snooping into the earthen burrow. Helios' eyes grew wide; "Summie, I don't think we should be-" A growl came from the nest as a black and white head stuck out of his home. Summit found herself nose-to-nose to a very angry badger. "Uh..." She backed away. "RUN!" Shrieked young Helios and both of the pups burst into a full-speed sprint. But alas, their stumpy little puppy legs were no match for the slightly less stumpy little legs of the badger. Soon enough, it singled out Summit and managed to corner the terrified pup, snarling greatly, showing off it's many small but sharp white teeth. It was about to swipe at the intruder, but then Helios stood in front of it, putting up the best imitation of a strong alpha as she could: Teeth bared, fur puffed up, raised trail and standing as tall as he could. He batted the black and white creature with his paw, growling. The badger made a loud, protesting noise before it retreated back to his home, bounding away from this dangerous wolf pup. Young Helios was panting, his fur standing on end. He managed to calm himself enough to look behind him and say; "Are you okay?" Summit looked thoroughly shaken, but he nodded. "Yeah." Helios smiled. "Let's not play Heroes again." He sat next to Summit, wrapping his tail around her reassuring. "Okay... Hero."

Their frantic parents found the shivering pups the next morning, huddled together in a shelter dug into the dirt. They questioned the two on why they were so far from the den, demanding who was responsible for letting them wander so far. Summit smiled nervously, getting ready to take the blame once again. "Uh, I-" She started, but was promptly cut off by Helios. "We were playing and accidentally wandered away and got lost. We were trying to head back. It was my fault." Helios told nothing of the badger, and winked out of his right eye at Summit cheekily. She smiled gratefully, and they never spoke a word about the badger to anyone else after that.

Summit and Helios still remained the best of friends growing up, getting up to just as many antics as during their childhood. Helios became a handsome young male, and Summit? She grew into one of the more beautiful females in the pack. It was sometime just before their second year that Helios' eldest brother and the chosen heir, Gallows, took a shine to Summit. He was persistent in his courtship, despite her initial reaction. At every moment when she was alone he would find her. She seemed to tolerate his advances, which started to worry Helios. For a while all he did was sit by and watch, but in time he became more and more fretful. He went to Summit's mother who also happened to be the pack councillor for her advice. That led to speaking to Summit's father and eventually Summit herself.

He pulled her aside one morning and took the cliffside that overlooked their territory. "Why have you brought me all the way out here, Hero?" She laughed, although she stopped when she saw his dead-serious expression. "Summit," he said, using her actual name for once. "I ..." He trailed off for a second, trying to find his words. "I'm not sure what you feel for my brother, but I wanted you to know, before you make any decisions, that I..." He closed his eyes tightly so he couldn't see her rejection. "... Love .. you ..."

She started laughing again, his eyes flew open and the fur on his cheeks puffed up. "Well," he said. "I'm ... uh, sorry to have wasted your time then." He dismissed himself and turned away to leave, only for the young she-wolf to tackle him to the ground. "No, I love you too." She said, nuzzling his cheek. "Did you really think that I'd fall for your dull brother?" She laughed again. "Well ... I-" He stuttered awkwardly. "Don't worry your heart, because mine belongs to you, my Hero."

It was during their Coming of Age ceremony that the two announced their engagement. And for a while they were happy.

But then their real training begun. Despite being mates, they seemed to grow apart after a while, both busy with their tasks. He was to take her father's place as the second in command, while she became a master of the hunt. Whenever he was free, Helios would come to watch
their hunts from the great cliff. It was here he observed from a distance that Summit seemed to spend a lot of time with another hunter, a male called Bane. He considered mentioning this to her, or at least asking who he was, but he decided that after everything he didn't want to risk losing her.

By the time the dry season was upon them all thoughts relating to Bane were pushed out of his mind. The local herd that the pack survived on had migrated outside of their territory in search of greener pastures. Helios would have to lead a hunting expedition outside of their home range, taking with him all the new parents in order to feed their children. Despite his warnings, Summit insisted on joining them, claiming she had something to tell her mate that she had been wanting to tell him all month.

Four months of no rain suddenly poured down upon them, lightning flickering and crashing nearby. Helios tried to gather his company together, but they had been scattered by the rampaging herd and isolated the severe storm. The sleet poured down upon them, it was almost impossible to see or smell through. "Summit!" He called, but to no avail. He couldn't find anyone in this.

Then, the ground started shaking. Helios thought he could see something through the rain, a massive blur upon the horizon, and it seemed to be getting closer...

In a matter of seconds the herd that had once been hunting thundered past, barely missing him. He felt his heart stop for a moment, and while he was recovering he had no clue that one of the beasts was heading straight toward him.

"HELIOS!" A voice screeched. He looked around desperately, only turning around just in time to see the beast and it's sharp, glistening hooves. He was frozen in place. Everything around him seemed to slow down. He braced himself for death.

But it never came.

Instead he was knocked to the ground. He heard a pained yelp that came from so familiar a voice. When he opened his eyes again he found himself looking into those of his mate's. Tears ran down her face and tears ran down his. "Summit ..." He said in slow realisation. "Summit!" He pushed himself up, ignoring the faint pain in his shoulder.

She looked up at him, grateful that he was still alive. "I'm okay." She reassured, trying to get to her feet. "No, stay down." Helios gingerly helped her back down. So there she laid, struggling for every breath, even the sound of her rasping was enough to make him cringe. Summit looked into his eyes, her gaze filled with pain, and she smiled sadly. "I'm going to miss you, hero." She spoke softly, as if each word caused her pain. Helios flinched, feeling that he was undeserving of that title: He wasn't the noble one here. "Don't speak like that." He ordered, tears welling up in her eyes. "I won't let you go." There was a determined growl in his voice as she looked around for help, but everyone was gone; they were utterly alone. "I... Want to tell you a secret." She forced her words, looking deep into his eyes, and him, hers. "...I love you." She spoke almost inaudibly, but every word he spoke was so serious and full of truth that she repeated herself, just to make sure he knew she meant it. "I love you." She said louder, but still softly, holding his gaze. He gaped stupidly, grappling to find words, to apologise for all his flaws, for ever doubting her, that he couldn't be the mate she so very much deserved. Summit only looked amused, and gave him one last warm smile. For so long she had worried that they were falling apart, for all her youth she had worried that her feelings for him weren't mutual, but that didn't matter now. He was here, he was alive. All that mattered was that Helios was safe; she would love him no matter what. "I-" He struggled to speak, to find the right words to sum up everything he felt. "Summie-" He stuttered again, despair filling up his lungs. But it was too late.

"... I love you too."

It felt like days that he sat there, although it had barely been an hour. Even as the rain cleared he laid next to her, sobbing into her fur. As the sun came out and dried the misery, the rest of the company finally found them and gathered around to pay their respects as well.

"Helios, I know this is hard-" One of them was saying. "But we need to get back, the others are counting on us. Their pups will die without us." Helios pulled himself together, drawing in a deep breath. "Yes. Yes, you are right. You all go on ahead, I'll be with you in a moment. I just ... need a moment."

As they the gathering walked off back toward home, Helios got up from off his knees and looked down at his best friend, beloved mate, and the only one he ever cared for. The remains of his life. He bid her farewell for the last time, and turned away.

But then there was a whimper.

"No ... There's no way..." He breathed. But there she was, among the wreckage and sorrow, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. A single pup had been born in the death throes, crying for it's mother who would never nuzzle her soothingly. Helios choked back his sobs and smiled gravely. He curled around his child and laid next to his poor beloved. "Fate has pitied me and given me you." He murmured to the whimpering pup, cradling her and cleaning her little face. "And I will never let fate take you back."

Helios soon learnt that the life of a single dad is not an easy one. Through some miracle the young pup survived the long journey home and was immediately handed over to a nursing she-wolf upon their arrival, her father's vigilant presence never to leave her from the moment he laid eyes on her.

But there were some things he could not protect her from.

As she grew she became quite the troublesome child, just as her parents had been. Constantly getting into mischief and keeping her poor father on his toes. But it wasn't until she was a year old that he would face the real challenge.

As a rebellious adolescent, Mercy and her father would often argue. She had taken to sneaking out at night and running away to meet with some loner male at the borders. After some time and several warnings, Helios decided he'd had enough and decided to confront his out-of-control daughter.

"You always do this! I don't get any freedom." She'd say. "It's for your own good." He'd reply. "You expect me to spend my entire life chained here, to live placidly in your shadow," she spat, eyes watering. Helios was silent.

"Rogue asked me to go with him." She said, finally. "I'm leaving."

"Don't go, you don't know what's out there! I'm just trying my best to keep you alive!" He pleaded, taking a step toward his daughter. He couldn't lose her too. She was all he had. "I'm not alive if I'm not living." She hissed in response, storming off and vanishing into the forest. He just stood there in the settling dust and waited for her to come back.

But she never did.

After several days Helios grew worried. At first he thought she had ran off into the woods like she used to do when she had her tantrums or needed to get away from her overbearing father, but she was never this long. As days went by he became frantic. Eventually he found himself awake in the middle of the night, leaving everything he had ever known behind him for the wild unknown.

He was going to find his daughter and he wouldn't return until he did so.

Character Notes Malaka10
Character Notes Coolte10

Name: Malakai, prefers just "Kai"
Endearments: Monster of the Deep (childhood nickname), Lionfish (by Windsong)

Gender: Male

Age: Adult Three years
Birthplace: Midsummer

Pack: None
Loyalty: Anyone who needs it

Current Standing: Lone Wolf
Desired Rank: Fisher

Character Notes Flo10
Character Notes Ui10

General Build: Middleweight.

Character Notes Flo10
Character Notes Natur10

Absent Minded Benevolent Compassionate Freethinking High-Spirited Optimistic Passive Self-Controlled Sociable Spontaneous

Kai is very much a freethinker, so much that he can sometimes get lost in his own thoughts. When on his own he likes to contemplate life, how things came to be or why, and the remedies to all issues in the world. You could call him idealistic, even to his face, and he would agree with you. But if you would belittle him, tell him that there's no hope, then he'd tell you that he pities you, because with that kind of attitude then there surely isn't.

Likes: The Beach The Tropical Sky Seafood Swimming Relaxing Pups Freedom
Dislikes: Violence Drama Death Hierarchies The Cold Bad Oysters

Dreams: To live a long, peaceful life on the shore with his friends and lover.
Fears: That his life dissolves into chaos.

Character Notes Flo10
Character Notes Abil10

Strengths:
Calm Kai can think clearly without fear or panic clouding his mind during even the most stressful of situations. He is also extremely hard to provoke and does not retaliate to insults or threats violently.
Strong Swimmer Kai is very good at swimming and can swim against even the strongest of currents. He can also hold his breath for long periods of time.

Weaknesses:
Peaceful Kai refuses to fight even with a knife laid at his throat, nor could he even if he wanted to: He has never learnt how to defend himself.
Trusting Kai is not particularly bright sometimes. He lacks caution of outsiders or strangers unless it's blatantly obvious they wish him or someone else harm.

All five of them. I was born in the litter with Mokee and Bindi, and man, what trouble we got into!

Her.

"Wh-who are you?" I gasped clumsily.

For a while she didn't respond and the silence passed between us.

And then she finally spoke.

"Calypso."

"Why did you save me?" Asked I.

"Because you needed saving." She told me.

We locked eyes, looking into each other's souls. I'll never forget her beautiful gaze of blues and whites and green.

"Rest." She said.

I believe fate has other plans for me, or, perhaps she does.

... I just hope that this siren isn't leading me toward my doom.

Other Information:
Kai isn't really the Shakespeare kind of poetic, more like the guy that has a guitar and thinks he can sing.
Kai is perhaps a little bit of a ladies' man, although if he makes a promise he will keep it.
Due to his more poetic nature, Kai has exaggerated his meeting with Calypso to almost supernatural.
Kai has an appreciation for all the beautiful things in the world.  He has a small collection of pretty things, such as shells, raw mother of pearl, fish scales, flowers, feathers and drift wood. He doesn't hold onto these things very long, often placing them where he thinks they're suited or giving them as gifts to anyone he thinks would appreciate them.
If Kai sees a feather he usually will weave it into the long fur on his tail rather than let it erode away. However, he respects the ways of life, so should this feather fall to the ground he will let it be free, accepting that it has reached it's final destination.
Kai often has bits of seaweed or algae stuck in his fur, not out of neglection but rather because he finds it charming, much to the repulsion of the more hygienic members of the pack. Probably the most notable of things woven into his fur is the collection of kelp air-bladders that are intertwined with the long dreadlock-type fur on his cheeks.
Kai always looks as if he's just recently gone for a swim. It seems that the fur under his chin and forequarters are eternally sopping wet and there's never a time he doesn't have sand on his paws.
Kai's diet has always been mainly made up of sea-dwelling fish and creatures, including seals, crustaceans, and eel. His favourite being sea-bass. Kai also likes some particular land-beasts as well such as bison, however he has no idea where or how to hunt such creatures.
Smells of coconut, frangipani, hibiscus and seafood.
Australian accent. Uses lots of 'surfer slang' and occasionally uses fishing metaphors.
Soundtrack: Enchanting Theme, Kinship Theme, Adventure Theme, Perillious Theme, Defiance Theme, Melancholy Theme, Ending Theme

Plot Ideas:
When Kai meets his future pack he introduces himself as, "Malakai, I prefer Kai but my sisters always used to call me Monster of the Deep."
The Siren, as he calls her, visits the pack and throws a spanner in the works (of Windakai, perhaps?!)
Kai saves someone from drowning/being dragged out to sea.
Windsong stumbles across Kai who is fishing. She watches him come out of the sea, covered in seaweed (much to her amusement). He reminds her of some sort of sea creature, which becomes her nickname for him. Kai says that "if it's so flattering than perhaps I should keep it" (about the seaweed). They introduce each other to the pack or join it together.
Kai is fascinated by Windsong's diet after she takes him scavenging. He talks about his pack's culture, which intrigues her, so he decides to show her how he grew up, which results in a dinner-date type thing where Kai catches a variety of fish for Windsong and himself and decorates an area with pretty things he's collected.
Kai sings Windsong a poem about his life experiences (childhood, being saved, meeting Windsong) and she asks him about the mysterious Siren. (Unique way of telling Windsong his story!)
After winning Windsong's heart, Kai begins to have second thoughts. He either voices his doubts to a close friend, speaks to Windsong about the mysterious Siren that is haunting him or the Siren herself visits him and gives him guidance.
Kai seems to charm another's heart, much to Windsong's suspicion.
Kai refuses to take orders from someone outrightly, which results in them challenging him to a battle.
One of Kai's siblings visits the pack and tells him of his sister's demise on the day he disappeared.

PostSubject: Cleopatra Biography Work In Progress   Character Notes Icon_minitimeSun Feb 18, 2018 6:07 pm

AMBITIOUS, ARROGANT, DIGNIFIED, GREEDY, INDULGENT, MATERIALISTIC, MISCHIEVOUS, PRISSY, SARCASTIC, SHALLOW, OUTGOING, FRIENDLY, EMPATHETIC

Cleopatra has been a privileged upper-class lady since she was born. She's proud, and always gets what she wants and has no trouble with letting you know that. Her vanity and ambition is what drives her for something better, and a duty that she holds no love for yet still holds onto. She lacks a lot of restraint. Vengefulness. Greed. While not bloodthirsty, once scorned or betrayed Cleopatra will not let it go without retaliating in some manner. She has a way of finding ways to embarrass others, spreading rumours or devising plans. But that's only if she thinks you a threat or even worth her time. More often, it's only a trivial joke set up for her own amusement. She finds pleasure in asserting her dominance over others in mostly harmless ways. However, it's not always fun and games. As a rival, Cleo is ruthless. A sharp tongue. Innocence. Charm. Class, all while being a pretty darn good liar.

Despite seeming quite shallow, Cleopatra is actually a highly sympathetic wolf. She, in reality, does not value herself high above the world. It could be said that she has a 'soft spot.' She can be easily touched emotionally, and can feel kinship with even the most wretched old hag. She is surprisingly responsible for one commonly thought as 'the spoiled princess' - though a trait that was instilled in her during training, has stuck with her for life.

Cleopatra is not street smart in the slightest. She has very little caution upon approaching other wolves, expecting them to immediately want to help her.

Cleopatra is actually a pretty friendly wolf. She loves the company of other wolves, her entire being depends on it. She has a need to be the centre of attention at all times.

Cleopatra has a very strong attachment towards material objects. She surrounds herself with pretty things or things that she has a sentimental attachment towards.

Critic on Bullet's History:

Where is the rest of the pack when Caliber and Bolt are killing the pups? Their birth is probably a pretty big thing in such a small pack. And also on that note: It's a small pack, Caliber probably wouldn't have gotten that much power over anything, particularly when the parents and the betas died, and her plan isn't particularly thought out because (similar to what happened) once they found the dead pups no one would really follow them as leaders, now would they? Not to mention that she simply could've had the pups and just broken it off with Bullet later on.

Maybe you should make it a slightly bigger pack, and maybe give them some traditions or something to explain why she couldn't have done what I just mentioned. <33

I still love Bullet. <333

PostSubject: The Cold One   Character Notes Icon_minitimeSun Mar 25, 2018 3:00 pm

The events of Temperatures Collide takes place long long before the events of Fenaria, when the world was still young and wild. "The time wolves slept under the stars" as Ria puts it.

When the world started changing the next Queen of Aisu confronted it, thinking she could save their sacred land. A great tidal wave came upon her, consuming her. In a last struggle to spare her people she froze the wave. A hidden valley was created around the Queen and the mysterious lake that was once the home of Aisu and Natsu, and within a mighty great glacier was the Aisu Queen herself, preserved perfectly. Serene, the master of her fate. No one know what happened to the rest of Aisu, or what became of Natsu or their Queen, the only one who could release her sister from her icy prison.

The legends faded, and were no more.

Hundreds of years passed. A young wolf came across the wolf frozen in the ice. Petrified trees bowing their stems as if to the wolf. Over the course of years, the wolf kept coming back to the frozen one. In time, a culture was built around the frozen wolf, those who praised it coming to call the spectacle "The Cold One." They lived in the secluded glacier valley, hunted the magnificent cloven beasts to leave the hearts and hooves as offerings and sacrificed those who they deemed to have wronged "The Cold One."

[Mysterious wolf walking through the ice caverns]
[Wolf tries to intervene, is met with a fiery gaze, backs off]
It is time you awaken, my sister.
[Close of up The Cold One's eyes, they start glowing blue]
The world has changed much since we left it ...
[Fenaria]
Your palace of ice is melting ...
[Close up on mysterious wolf's paws, plants blooming at her feet; other wolf's feet in background]
... and we must walk among mortal wolves once more.
