Changing sails delays you temporarily, different rigging is better depending on the wind. You must outsail, outmanuever and outgun your enemy, slowly chasing them until the battle heats up, when you must think quickly and outsmart your opponents with daring maneuvers. Oversee your crew with repairs and rigging, lead boarding parties and fire at will! Your crew and Admiral will give you hints while you are still Master and Commander and your enemies easier and quicker to defeat, however as you rise through the ranks on your naval campaign they dare not.
Figure out how to navigate and calculate the position and direction of an opponents course and face them again in lster scenarios!
